Job Overview:
QTF Timber Frame are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior CAD Designer to join our team. As a Junior CAD Designer, you will be responsible for assisting in the creation and modification of detailed drawings using CAD software. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in the field of design and engineering.
Duties:
– Assist in the development of detailed schematics, drawings, and models using CAD software such as AutoCAD
– Collaborate with senior designers and engineers to understand project requirements and specifications
– Make necessary revisions to drawings based on feedback from team members
– Ensure accuracy and completeness of all drawings and models
– Perform basic calculations to support design work
– Maintain organised files and documentation for all projects
– Collaborate with other departments to ensure project timelines are met
You will be working alongside our Senior CAD Designer who will train and encourage you to advance your skillset.
Requirements:
– Office based role
– Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or Sketchup
– Knowledge of building codes and regulations
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
– Excellent problem-solving skills
– Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment
– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
