QTF Ltd were delighted to have been involved in the construction of a new East Side Visitor Center located close to the Connswater shopping Centre on the Newtownards road between the Albertbridge Road and Holywood Road. Quality Timber Frame Ltd provided a Timber Frame for the construction of the third floor of the new building. The architect combined a timber and steel frame for the construction of the stunning building project. Quality Timber Frames were delighted to have contributed towards the building project.
Over the past 20 years the East Side Visitor Centre have developed and delivered a range of exciting regeneration projects across health, education, tourism, property, arts and community, which have brought huge benefits and have made our mark on the east of the City and are committed to delivering their mission ‘to make East Belfast a better place’.
The building itself followed the shape of the site boundary which therefore meant it was quite an unusual shape requiring many brick specials and involved various details that needed special attention and co-ordination with the design team. The building had many large glazing units and a large glass tower at the front of the building allowing lots of light into the building and leaving distinguishing features at the front facade of the building. The exterior of the tower was cladded in zinc to match the third floor of the building and roof that were both also cladded using a zinc standing seam cladding system.
The East Side Vistor Centre project was managed by Geda Construction, Dungannon Co . Tyrone.
